The Empire State Building


Line drawing of the Empire State, designed by William F. Lamb in the late Art Deco style of 1930s New York. Its spire was originally conceived as a mooring post for airships, but later converted to a broadcasting base. It crowned the building as the world's tallest for a staggering 40 years.
